Victory Against Zoning By-Law Change: Thank You for Your Support!
On March 21, 2024 the Ipswich Planning Board voted 4-2 against the proposed zoning bylaw that would allow public safety buildings anywhere in town. Although the bylaw would apply town-wide, it is mostly aimed at terminating forcing the public safety building onto the 36 Linebrook Road site.
Thanks to those that attended and spoke to our planning board to ensure the town follows the rules instead of changing the rules midstream. Your letters, phone calls, and in-person participation make a difference!
If you were unable to attend or watch the meeting last night, you can find it on iCam at : http://71.174.52.234/CablecastPublicSite/show/13303?site=2

Our work is not done! Stay tuned for next steps on how you can continue to help and thank you again for voicing the need for transparency and accountability!
Please see below for the legal notice published by Town Manager Crane on March 5, 2024:
Build It Right is a grassroots Ipswich citizens group concerned about the design, expense, location, and functionality of the proposed public safety facility at the corner of Linebrook and Pineswamp Roads. More than 1200 Ipswich citizens have signed a petition supporting the concerns, and that number continues to grow.
